The TV anime "Super Dimension Fortress Macross" began airing on October 3, 1982, and the VF-1J that stunned fans in its opening sequence! The new release in PLAMAX's 1/72 scale VF-1 Fighter Valkyrie series is a kit of that memorable craft.

Kit Notes: While keeping the part count low, the detail expression combines both contrast and density, resulting in a finished product packed with Valkyrie's appeal, with a speed that will make you want to build it again and again. The seams between parts are positioned in the least noticeable areas possible, and by ensuring generous mating surfaces so each unit locks firmly into its designated position, the alignment and angle between parts is solidly determined, resulting in a model with an extremely high sense of rigidity even after completion. The head comes as the J-type, memorable as the main craft of the TV series, and the cockpit includes a newly sculpted pilot figure. The panel in front of the canopy is now a separate part as well, making it easier to paint. Each part is molded in 4 colors, so you can achieve a convincing finish just by assembling it and applying stickers and decals.
