The 1967 Porsche 911 R, which is making its debut in a new mold, is a competition vehicle of which only 24 were produced between 1967 and 1968.
The body used a lot of fiberglass for the outer panels, and the windows were made of acrylic, making it 200 kg lighter than the standard 911. It was equipped with a powerful (210 horsepower) 2-liter engine inherited from the Porsche 906 racing car, and had a top speed of 245 km/h, which was astonishingly fast for the time.
