Hot Wheels Basic Car '96 Nissan 180SX Type X Vehicle Toy Minicar for ages 3 and up Blue HXR16
[Contents] The fifth-generation Silvia (S13 type) appeared in 1988. Its sister car, the 180 (One Eighty) SX, debuted in 1989, using the same basic components but with a special front mask equipped with retractable headlights and a body with a hatchback rear section.
As a rear-wheel drive vehicle with a multi-link suspension at the rear, it boasted excellent handling performance, and later became very popular as a base for modifying into drift vehicles.
The 180SX was produced basically without any major changes until 1999, when its sister car, the Silvia, switched to the 6th generation (S14 type) in 1993 and was about to transition to the 7th generation.
The motif that Hot Wheels chose is the later model of the 180SX, which exists in early, mid and late models, and is characterized by its round four-light taillights reminiscent of the Skyline.
