The "Missing Link" series—virtual reissues of items that might have existed back in that era.
Its 6th release brings the police car Cordon.
Imagining "What if Cordon had originally been made as a fully poseable figure back then?", it has been given an entirely new design while keeping the size, texture, and nostalgia of the original.

While the size, transformation pattern, and basic construction—including some die-cast alloy parts—follow the original toy, the joints and gimmicks have been updated for posing, resulting in the ideal Cordon toy.
From the packaging to the styrofoam tray, everything pays thorough homage to the era, reviving the excitement of opening a Transformers toy in the 1980s even more than a simple reissue would.
Cordon was born as the 3rd Car Robots release, a police car type, but was never introduced as a Transformer—though its character recognition has grown in recent years.
This product marks the first-ever figure based on the original-era toy image of Cordon.
Joints that were fixed in the original product have been changed to be articulated, allowing for free posing.
A newly added "Human/Police Officer type," which was not included back then.
It can ride in the mobile cockpit in both forms.
Comes with the Speed Trap Gun, the same type of gun as Rumble's, in a chrome-plated finish.
Also, instead of the punch-firing gimmick, it has been updated to a fully-transforming design where the fist retracts into the arm.
What's more, a large attachable punch part that recreates the original spec is also included.
The familiar "Secret Emblem" is also applied to the robot body—warm it with your finger and the faction mark appears.
Areas that were stickers on the original toy are now recreated with relief sculpting and paint, though stickers you can apply if you prefer are also included.
A joint hole for a separately sold stand has been added to the back, allowing for display in action poses.
The package illustration is a newly drawn piece designed to evoke the era, and a collection card featuring the same illustration is also included.
