Mirio's first Enhance ability not only gives him a bonus 2 damage on punches and slam attacks, but also allows him to change his attack zone. Mirio is very good at finding weak spots in his rival's guard, as his rival has to maintain a wide and varied block to keep himself safe, since all of his attacks can change the zone. But Mirio can easily take all of his attacks on Low, making him hard to block. Then, Mirio's second Enhance allows him to commit and discard one momentum, making the attack damage 0. This Enhance means that his rivals have serious difficulty "poking" Mirio, because attacking only once per turn is no good if the damage is 0. These two abilities create the framework for an extremely powerful aggressive character who can sneak through attacks even in the worst of circumstances, while simultaneously protecting himself from counter attacks.
