[Contents] The Silvia debuted in 1965 as a pioneer of Japanese specialty cars. Until production ended in 2002, it was produced across 7 generations, with a roughly 7-year gap along the way.
One highlight of the Silvia's history was the 5th generation, the S13, introduced in 1988. With its simple yet distinctive styling, FR (front-engine, rear-wheel-drive) layout, and multi-link rear suspension for excellent handling, it became hugely popular. It was also beloved by drifters who enjoyed sliding through mountain roads.
Hot Wheels recreates a drift machine based on the S13's successors, the 6th generation (S14) and 7th generation (S15). The 240SX was the export name for the Silvia, and the model is based on the later-facelift version characterized by slanted headlights. The "RS☆R" logo on the body belongs to a Japanese aftermarket auto parts manufacturer.
