Its body makes extensive use of fiberglass for the outer panels, with acrylic used for the windows, reducing weight by as much as 200kg compared to the standard 911. Combined with a powerful (210hp) 2-liter engine derived from the Porsche 906 racing car, it achieved a top speed of 245km/h -- an astonishing figure for its time.
